The Prince of Wales plans to participate in the United Nations climate conference in Brazil during November, according to palace sources.

The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a gathering ahead of the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the northern Brazilian city of Belem.

The King and Prince were participating in the scientific institution event, marking an rare public appearance together at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the United Kingdom administration.

Climate Leadership Commitment

The King has been a longstanding advocate of protecting nature - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be taking place in South America preceding the COP summit.
