NFL Recap: Denver Edge Struggling Jets in Low-Scoring Battle

During a defensive struggle on Sunday, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 win over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the late decisive three-pointer to secure the hard-fought win.

Defensive Display Wins Game

Even with registering nine sacks against Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after conceding a safety in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets managed a mere 82 offensive yards throughout the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who went 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, engineered a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that ended with Lutz's 27-yard field goal with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Struggles for Jets Offense

Despite their horrendous performance, the Jets maintained possession with a chance to score a potential winning score. However Fields was tackled on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 when head coach Aaron Glenn chose to attempt the conversion instead of calling on specialist Nick Folk for a difficult kick.

The Jets quarterback struggled all game, connecting on just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. New York ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the lowest in any game since 1998.

"Our passing game was non-existent," Glenn commented after the game.
